The Life Story team has captured rare and extreme behaviours, some never recorded before, using new technology to film behaviour in novel ways. These are truly compelling scenes: A barnacle goose chick’s death-defying leap 400 feet down a cliff; an adult humpback whale blowing bubbles to protect a calf from shark attack; the long-eared jerboa surviving its first night alone in the Gobi desert – a creature so rare it’s never been filmed in the wild before. Using advanced technology a camera was also floated around a meerkat as it learned how to capture a scorpion.
