25th March 2017 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Robert Burns Centre - Auditorium
Flowing through the heart of Dumfries and past the Robert Burns Centre, the River Nith is the subject of a talk and guided walk by Edmund Fellowes from Dumfries Camera Club. The 30 minute presentation, which will take place in the Robert Burns Centre main auditorium, focuses on the river and some of its problems as well as some of its more visible mammals and birds. The images shown by Edmund will mainly feature wildlife from the Nith and its tributaries. This will be followed at 2.30pm by a guided walk using paved footpaths running alongside the Nith and returning to the RBC at 4pm. Please note the Devorgilla Bridge has 12 steps so wheelchair users and those with mobility issues will be accompanied over The Buccleuch Bridge to then rejoin the party.
